Kathmandu, 5 September: The sixth Prime Ministerial election is unlikely to yield result today with the parties deciding to stick to their respective stances.
After the fifth election a long time had been separated so that the parties could reach a consensus. But the time separated for such consensus has only increased their differences.
UML and the Madhesi parties will stay neutral in today's election again.
The Madhesi Morcha is set to hold a meeting this afternoon before the election.
A seven point political paper prepared by UML for consensus has not made any impact as yet.
Meanwhile, UCPN (Maoist) has said that it would re-think on withdrawing candidacy if the sixth election fails to nominate a PM.
The party has also claimed that the tape scandal of its leader Krishna Bahadur Mahara is false.
