The government, whose home minister a few weeks ago had announced that he would punish anyone involved in converting the people, happened to arrest Hindu activists to make the summit of a Christian organistaion a success.
Moreover, the government wasted money and resources to make the controversial summit of the most controversial Christian organisation—Unification Church—successful. Police personnel were mobilised to provide security to the participants while the people had to face inconveniences as the government unnecessarily introduced odd and even number system in vehicles for two days.
The government arrested Hindus activists, including former lawmakers for protesting against the summit.
The arrest is likely to spark pro-Hindu protests as the people could see the true face of PM Oli and the government this week when the government used its resources to hold the summit of the controversial Christian organisation.
