Rastraya Prajatantra Party (RPP) chaired by Kamal Thapa has handed over a 22-point memorandum to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on 19 February.
Accordingly, in every district and all the provinces, the copy of the memorandum has been handed over to the chief district officer and chief minister.
In the memorandum, the party has demanded a fresh referendum demanding restoration of the Hindu nation against secularism.
The party has demanded a roundtable conference to restore the institute of monarchy by providing space to all sections in the constitution.
The party has demanded end of corruption by empowering the CIAA along with the authority to investigate on the projects introduced through cabinet decision.
The party has given an ultimatum to fulfill the 22-point demand by giving the deadline of 14 March.
According to Mohan Shrestha, spokesman of the party, from 12 February to 14 March, RPP is launching Rastriya Swobhiman Yatra starting from Taplejung in the East to Mahakali in the West.
Shrestha said that along with concluding of the Yatra on 14 March, the party will be announcing nationwide agitation programmes if the party’s 22-point demand is not responded.
