The February 14, 2019 attack on the convoy of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at Pulwama taking a toll of 45 lives was a false flag operation with multiple aims. At the drop of a hat, before any investigation into the heinous act could be commenced, Pakistan was blamed for it. Its Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status was stripped, and Indian media and politicians went berserk in their bellicose threats to Pakistan of dire consequences.
This particular false flag operation has multi-prong agendas. Despite launching an increasingly strangulating terror campaign unleashed by the Indian law enforcement agencies (LEAs) in the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) since the start of the year, India has failed to cow down the resilience and determination of the brave-hearted Kashmiris.
On February 14, a vehicle-borne suicide bomber rammed into a convoy of CRPF personnel near Goripora, Pulwama district. Indian media reports state that it was driven by Adil Dar, reportedly associated with Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM), a terror group banned by the Pakistan government.
There are major loopholes in the odious assault claims. For one, Adil Dar was in Indian custody. He was arrested as a freedom fighter and having been incarcerated, he could not have been responsible for the act.
Reportedly, Adil Dar was not seen active along with other Kashmiri youth endeavoring against Indian forces since last year. He suddenly appeared on social media with pictures depicting him in revolutionary attire. Moreover, the viral video indicates that the attack was executed by him on his own without any assistance, a claim which creates doubts. It was also reported by the Indian media that CRPF convoy was delayed for two days, but then how did an individual, a civilian no less, have the information about the exact route of the CRPF convoy?
Reports have mentioned that 300 kgs of RDX was used to blast the CRPF convoy. Were Indian intelligence agencies napping that such a massive operation was carried out successfully under their nose?
The timing of the attack raises skepticism. Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman’s two-day visit to Pakistan bringing with it a twenty billion dollars investment suspiciously collided with the Pulwama incident. It adds to the long list of efforts made by India to isolate and weaken Pakistan, efforts which have failed miserably. Saudi, Chinese, Emirati, Malaysian, Turkish, Russian and numerous other investments have bailed Pakistan out from its dire economic state and put it on the path of development and prosperity.
History is replete with examples where each time a high-level visit has taken place to India or Pakistan, the Indian deep state and BJP government has attempted to gain international sympathy by launching a false flag operation. Indian Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, directly after the Pulwama attack, declared that Pakistan will be isolated.
Senior RAW operative and terrorist Commander Kulbhushan Jadhav, who after being nabbed from Balochistan was awarded the death sentence by a Field General Court Martial, is being tried to be saved from going to the gallows by India. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs took the case to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) where the hearing was scheduled at The Hague on February 18. Pakistan presented classified information regarding Jadhav’s confessional statement and detailed dossier of evidence to the ICJ. The February 14 false flag operation at Pulwama could be a ploy to falsely project Pakistan as a terrorist state, an attempt made days before the FATF hearing took place to blacklist Pakistan.
Indian atrocities in IOK have seen a meteoric rise since June 2014, when Narendra Modi took office. On February 3, Modi visited IOK but the territory was in a state of lockdown. No Kashmiri came out to greet him. Contrarily, on February 5, marking the Kashmir Solidarity Day, every major world capital witnessed rallies in support of the Kashmiris. Seminars, discussions and photographic exhibitions depicting Indian atrocities against the hapless Kashmiris were held by supporters. The Pulwama attack is another attempt to divert international attention away from Indian brutalities and the terror wreaked in IOK.
The Indian brutalities have touched every Kashmiri residing in IOK. Adil Dar, who has been presented as the perpetrator of the Pulwama attack, had not only been arrested while returning from school, he was forced to face the ignominy of rubbing his nose in dirt and drawing a circle in the dirt around the jeep of his tormentors. The ire of Indian forces had also targeted Dar’s cousins and brothers who had been martyred earlier. With such ruthlessness, India has not only failed to win the hearts and minds of the Kashmiris but turned them into victims seeking revenge with no option but to use violence in response.
2019 is the year of general elections in India. The ruling BJP has failed to deliver on its promises of enhancing Indian prestige and economy, apparent by the failure of all major policies of India under the watch of BJP. In the forthcoming elections Indian Congress appears to be gaining ground while BJP is apparently facing certain defeat. Thus Modi has planned false flag operations to gain the sympathy of Indian voters, rally the people behind it and raise so much hype that Indian people demand action against Pakistan.
Modi is also attempting to change the demographics of IOK by resettling Hindus to make Muslims a minority. To achieve that, Modi aimed at rescinding Article 35A of the Indian Constitution, which grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir as well as prohibits the resettling of ordinary Indians in IOK or purchasing property there. The method behind this madness is that whenever a plebiscite takes place under the auspices of the United Nations, majority Hindus there will or would be able to vote for accession to India.
In the milieu of war mongering and demands of taking punitive action against Pakistan, Modi may dare to carry out surgical strikes as well as adventurism against Pakistan. The LOC violations on February 26 and 27 by the Indian Air Force (IAF) are a reflection of this mindset.
Modi should take cognizance of the fact that Pakistan is a nuclear weapons armed state and also has second-strike capability. Any aggression against Pakistan can trigger a full-scale conflict which can engulf the entire region in nuclear war resulting in mutually assured destruction. Is Modi prepared for such dire consequences?
Modi had miscalculated the Pakistani and international response. Pakistan’s measured response has shaken him while the response from the international community too is chastising India for the human rights violations in IOK. The war drums that Modi has been beating have reached such a crescendo that he now risks losing the elections if he does not carry out his promise of punishing Pakistan. Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has rightly mentioned in his address to the nation, one directed at Modi, that if India foments trouble Pakistan will not think of retaliation but retaliate with its full might. Pakistan believes in “First Strike” at the slightest hint of large-scale Indian mischief. It also possesses “Second-Strike Capability”.
PM Khan has stated that it is easy to start a war but very difficult to end it. It is certain that with both countries being nuclear weapons equipped, it will be a mutually assured destruction.
During the visit of the Saudi Crown Prince to New Delhi, Modi cajoled the visiting royal to condemn Pakistan for the Pulwama attack, a manoeuvre Saudi Arabia refused to oblige to in the absence of credible evidence. Apparently, Modi has met his Waterloo and fallen into the grave he had dug for Pakistan. There is no backing down now without eating a humble pie.
In the wee hours of February 26, 2019 reportedly 12 Indian Air Force (IAF) Mirage 2000 Fighters crossed the LOC and struck a “terrorist camp”. Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) refuted the Indian claim stating that the IAF retreated when PAF fighters were scrambled, forcing a hasty withdrawal and the intruders released their payload in an open area.
India’s government has been trying to appease their own people by claiming that punitive action has been taken against the alleged perpetrators of the crime. The lie will soon be nailed by India itself.
The renewed belligerence by India will prove very costly as the international players are no longer paying heed to Modi’s war mongering. Contrarily, U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are trying to diffuse the situation to prevent the regional situation from spiraling.
