Two youths were detained for issuing a death threat to Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) leader and the House of Representatives member Rajendra Lingden.
Lingden, the only lawmaker of the RPP, who was elected from Jhapa-3, had received the death threat for not providing Rs. 5 million as donation on Monday, according to police.
The arrested youths were identified as Tilak Das Parajuli, 29, of Kachanakawal Rural Municipality-3 of Jhapa district, and Pradeep Rokaya, 19, of Humla district.
A special squad of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police detained them from New Bus Park area on Monday evening.
The information came to light when Lingden himself tweeted that he got the death threat.
