To what extent the Nepali people have become sovereign in new Nepal, we don’t know, but our executive prime minister is really a sovereign power.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli left for a visit of some European countries on Saturday afternoon. During the PM’s departure, this time also the Tribhuvan International Airport was closed for other commercial flights for about 30 minutes. No aircraft was allowed to take off and land during this period.
Some international and domestic airlines approaching Kathmandu were kept on hold in the sky for 30 minutes. The flights had to circle the Kathmandu skies for three or four times to get permission to land at TIA.
The TIA Traffic Control office also faces problem to manage air traffic jam during such VIP flights. This is the plight of the “sovereign” Nepalis!
