Kathmandu, 15 July: Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun attended a reception hosted on Sunday evening on the occasion of national day of France.
Members Council of Ministers, lawmakers of federal government and States, former prime ministers, former ministers, leaders of different political parties, heads of diplomatic missions, high-ranking officials of government of Nepal, industrialists, businessmen, artists, litterateurs, French nationals currently residing in capital and senior media persons were present in the event hosted by French Ambassador to Nepal, François-Xavier Lége.
On the occasion, Ambassador Lege said that the recent France visit by Prime Minister KP Oli has added a new dimension to the 70-year-old France-Nepal relations.
Lauding the role of Nepal in maintaining peace and security in different countries of the world through UN Peace Keeping Missions, the Ambassador said that Nepal and France have been closely collaborating and coordinating on the issue of common interest including climate change international forums.
