Land Revenue Office located at Sankhu has become the second revenue office in the Kathmandu Valley to offer technology based modern facilities to its customers.
Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Padma Kumari Aryal inaugurated the modern land revenue office amidst a function organised here on Monday.
Earlier, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had declared Land Revenue Office at Kalanki as the first model land revenue office in the Kathmandu Valley on June 19.
Inaugurating the modern revenue office, Minister Aryal said that the government was effortful to make all land revenue offices across the country modern by using modern information and communication technology.
She said that the government was digitising 28 million files of 62 land revenue offices of the country for the safety of the people’s property.
She said that the government is providing spiritual and moral classes to civil servants to make them discipline and not to involve in corruption.
Minister Aryal said that the ministry was planning to conduct new land survey across the country considering its need to in the modern time. The land survey conducted 55 years ago should be replaced by new one to address the various problems, she said.
She said that the government was working to resolve all types of land related problems including problem of landless within its current five years’ tenure.
