Golyan Group forms joint venture with two Chinese companies

Kathmandu, 24 March: Apollo Energy Private Limited, a subsidiary of the Golyan Group that is building the 260 MW Namlan Khola Hydro-power Project, has agreed to form a joint venture with two Chinese companies.The group has formed a joint venture with China Energy International Group Company Limited and China Gezhouba Group International Engineering Company Limited to use hydro-power.

The agreement was signed by Akshay Golyan, Managing Director of Golyan Group, Prawin Aryal, CEO of Golyan Group’s Energy Division, Young Honglin, Chief Representative of China Energy International Group Company and O Tao, Chief Representative of China Gezhouba Group.

The Golyan Group continues to work to strengthen Nepal’s economic and social base in order to ensure a more sustainable future.The group said it wants to move forward with such an agreement because clean and renewable energy will help the country’s economic and social development as well as the environment. Over the next decade, the group intends to invest 900 MW in the country’s renewable energy.
