55 kgs marijuana arrived from the US seized from TIA

Kathmandu, 17 December: A total of 55 kilograms of marijuana was seized from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Friday night. Chief Administrator of Tribhuvan Airport Customs Office, Tokraj Pandey, informed that the marijuana packed in 108 cartons was recovered before the customs check.

According to him, the airport was tightened on the basis of information that a large quantity of marijuana was being brought to Nepal. In the meantime, marijuana was found when the cartons brought in the name of a firm were suspected.

The Tribhuvan Airport Customs Office has handed over the seized marijuana to the Narcotics Control Bureau of Nepal Police for further investigation into the firm and marijuana.
